Deputy PM Nick Clegg visits Hartham Park

On December 18th 2014 Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg visited Corsham's Hartham Park, after he had signed the Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Deal. Worth £129 million of investment to our county it will help to create up to 1,500 jobs, allow up to 2,000 homes to be built by 2021 and generate up to 70 pounds million in public and private investment. Signing it with the Swindon and Wiltshire LEP, Nick Clegg said, "I'm delighted to be finalising this historic deal bringing real change to Swindon and Wiltshire. All of this is a major boost to the economy in the south west." While at Hartham Park he heard about the research and development work supporting digital citizens and society at the Corsham Institute and met many local business leaders. Corsham TV spoke to him about the importance of digital communications.
