There's a Food Festival coming to Corsham town centre on Saturday June 17th as part of a Festival Fortnight running from June 9th-18th, to include the Walking Festival, the Blue Sky Festival and now the Taste of Corsham. Rachel Avent from Corsham Town Council tells us more about what's planned and how she is still looking for even more local food producers.

Ride Across America, June 2015

This week two teams of eight riders, headquartered in Corsham, including 8 international rugby players and going by the name of The Ruck and Rollers, begin the most gruelling cycling race in the world, the Race Across America. They left Corsham last weekend and the race starts on Saturday 20th June, covering 3,000 miles and crossing twelve US states. The team will be raising money for Asthma UK, a British charity working to stop asthma attacks and cure asthma altogether. Deputy PM Nick Clegg visits Hartham Park

On December 18th 2014 Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg visited Corsham's Hartham Park, after he had signed the Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Deal. Worth £129 million of investment to our county it will help to create up to 1,500 jobs, allow up to 2,000 homes to be built by 2021 and generate up to 70 pounds million in public and private investment. Signing it with the Swindon and Wiltshire LEP, Nick Clegg said, "I'm delighted to be finalising this historic deal bringing real change to Swindon and Wiltshire. All of this is a major boost to the economy in the south west." While at Hartham Park he heard about the research and development work supporting digital citizens and society at the Corsham Institute and met many local business leaders.
